Team

Responsibilities of the Global Procurement and Supply Chain team are: sourcing, purchasing, inventories management, warehouse management and shipment management. We aim to strengthen the overall capabilities of the team, with special emphasis on global logistics of our hiPSC-based solutions. We are looking for a new colleague that adds to the team the specific capabilities of processing of international temperature-controlled shipments.

Job Description

Supply Chain Specialist is part of the Global Procurement and Supply Chain team.

She/he is responsible for the day-to-day outbound logistical activities, such as preparation and execution of shipments to customers and vendors and plays a key role in warehouse operations and inventory management of our products portfolio.

Responsible for the execution of the order fulfillment process of the outbound and inbound deliveries, ensuring timely deliveries in good conditions. Since most goods shipped are temperature-controlled biological substances, the knowledge in this field is required.

Being responsible of the document preparation for shipment purposes, knowledge in export matters is required.

The Supply Chain Specialist also assists in the general processes handled by the team, e.g. goods reception, ordering of goods, and administrative processing.

Tasks and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for the physical and documents preparation, execution, and follow up of shipments including interactions with customers, 3PL providers, couriers and brokers and understanding the export constraints

  • Execute daily warehousing operations, including reception and storage of materials

  • Shipping of materials preparation (pick/pack/ship)

  • Ensure that the inventory status is up to date for our products portfolio

  • Adhere to Supply Chain procedures and report non-compliant events to the management in a timely manner, set up/update the Supply Chain procedures when required

  • Ensure effective communication with all relevant Ncardia departments, maintaining good relations at all times

  • Assist in daily operations of the Global Procurement and Supply Chain team

  • Back-up of the Purchasing Specialist for ordering activities

Required experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a logistics department

  • Demonstrated practical experience in intercontinental temperature-controlled shipment of biological materials

  • Understanding of Class 9 UN packaging and documentation practices

  • Experience in storage and dispatch of temperature-controlled goods

  • Experience in export activities including documents preparation

  • Laboratory experience in biotech/pharma/life sciences is an asset

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 or GxP or affinity with any other quality norm is an asset

  • Experience with ERP software is a plus
