Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) can be differentiated and culture to generate
iPSC-derived 3D neurospheres to better recapitulate the biology, morphology and molecular
dynamics observed in vivo. Additionally, these models can be developed from patient-derived
iPSCs, thus increasing their relevance and predictability.
Here we describe our iPSC platform for cell differentiation at high volumes of Ncyte® Astrocytes
and Ncyte® Cortical neurons and how we used them to develop 3D neurospheres amenable for
high-throughput screening.
This assay platform shows promise in:
- Modeling in vitro relevant neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
- Performing with high robustness to be integrated in drug screening
- Protocol can be easily adapted to patient derived iPSC lines for disease modeling, target identification and screening to support you through your drug discovery process
